Motorised lens range extended

1 May 2013

New motorised lenses from Qioptiq and Schneider Kreuznach, now added to the STEMMER IMAGING range, make machine integration even easier for OEMs seeking high-performance imaging for their systems. Schneider Kreuznach has developed new motorised versions of its proven C-mount industrial Cinegon, Xenoplan and Tele-Xenar lenses. Qioptiq has introduced the new Optem Fusion modular lens system to allow users to quickly and simply swap lens components to modify performance, form, and function.

The new Optem Fusion lens system is configurable with versatile 7:1 or 12.5:1 zoom modules, or to any number of economical fixed-magnification specifications. Optem Fusion can be specified with manual or stepper-motorized zoom and/or internal 5mm focus. It delivers micro-imaging magnifications from 0.16X to 14.4X at resolutions up to 600 lp/mm and can also be configured to image across 32–492 mm working distances for added working space beneath the lens. Suitable for use with cameras of almost any mount type and formats up to 4/3, Optem Fusion combines infinity optics with a wide range of interchangeable magnification, function and accessory modules to provide unprecedented feature and performance modification.

Lenses for demanding industrial conditions

Schneider Kreuznach has introduced 16 new motorised versions of its proven C-mount industrial Cinegon, Xenoplan and Tele-Xenar lenses. They are equipped with an industrial P-Iris standard connector and a stepper motor for digital control. The iris is designed for a long service life of over 100,000 cycles under demanding industrial conditions. Thanks to the motorised iris, the lenses can be used under variable light conditions, e.g. in traffic control or for inspection tasks where the brightness of the object is changing.
